Job Description:
The ideal candidate must have experience developing PLC control logic and SCADA applications using a variety of platforms including Schinder, Aveva System Platform, Rockwell, GE iFix and Emerson Proficy Machine. The responsibilities of this role include programming, deployment, simulation testing, start-up and commissioning.
Responsibilities:
• Write new system application PLC/SCADA program code using control narratives to specific Customer standards and requirements.
• Develop, implement, test and deploy SCADA programming, databases and graphic screens using relevant software (Proficy iFix, Rockwell Factory View, Aveva Wonderware Intouch, Aveva System Platform, WinCC, Ignition)
• Develop FAT/SAT documentation for projects according to specifications.
• Perform hardware and software FAT/SAT as required.
• Analyze the performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of the End User.
• Confer with users to gain an understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs while maintaining an “out of scope” log to capture project extras.
• Write and maintain programming and project documentation.
• Provide project software execution “effort” hours for estimating.
• Provide training and mentorship for junior programming resources.
• Provide programming effort estimates for new projects by reviewing project contract documents.
