JOB DESCRIPTION:
Valley Integration Inc., is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designer / Electrical Panel Designer to join our growing electrical and automation team. The successful candidate will support the design, documentation, and development of control panels for industrial and municipal projects.
This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world electrical panel design, structured learning, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced designers and engineers on global turnkey projects.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Electrical Panel Design & Drafting
• Assist in designing and specifying layouts for control panels.
• Prepare electrical schematics, panel layouts, shop drawings, and field wiring diagrams.
• Develop and update single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and interconnection drawings.
• Support component selection for electrical and control panels in line with project requirements.
Documentation & Engineering Support
• Develop and review project documentation packages including BOMs, cable schedules, manuals, and technical specifications.
• Ensure drawings and documents meet scope, presentation, and technical accuracy standards.
• Maintain proper version control and documentation records throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Coordination & Support
• Coordinate with panel builders, project coordinators, engineers, and other internal teams to support design execution.
• Assist with resolving design-related queries during fabrication and installation.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and control systems under supervision.
Quality & Standards Compliance
• Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, UL standards, and internal design guidelines.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency across all deliverables.
• Support continuous improvement of electrical design standards, templates, and workflows.
THE ROLE:
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Technology from a recognized University or College.
• 5+ years of experience with strong fundamentals and design skills.
• Strong ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight schedules.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.
